2019 Durango Lineup Announced

The 2019 Dodge Durango is storming into the 2019 model year by offering more features than ever. This no-compromise SUV gives you power, comfort, and the latest in technology. You’ll also get five special trim levels to choose from, all giving you unique combinations of features and engines. That means that there is a 2019 Durango for everyone, even if you’re someone that is looking for a little added power. Some of the notable changes of the Durango include an integrated trailer brake that comes with every Durango model if they add the Trailer Tow Package, the Citadel features second-row captain’s chairs, and the GT and R/T models now come with an available 20-inch wheel design. To learn more about the trim levels of the 2019 Dodge Durango, keep reading down below!

SXT:
The first trim that is available with the 2019 Durango is the SXT. This model comes with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that can produce up to 260 pound-feet of torque and 295 horsepower. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and dual exhaust. You’ll also be able to tow a best-in-class 6,200 pounds. Standard features include Bluetooth, integrated Voice Command, driver-oriented electronic T-shifter, a perforated leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, Keyless Entry ‘n Go with Push Button Start, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 4, and a 7-inch full-color driver infotainment digital cluster display.

GT:
The next trim level available is the GT, which comes with the same engine as the SXT model. However, the GT also comes with optional heated first- and second-row seats, a power liftgate, leather-trimmed bucket seats with suede inserts, dual exhaust with bright tips, LED daytime running lamps, and a heated leather-wrapped sport steering wheel with paddle shifters. New to 2019 is a performance front fascia that is also found with the R/T and SRT models. You’ll also have available cloth seating, and even a 20-inch wheel design that can come in either Brass Monkey or Satin Carbon finishes.

Citadel:
While the Citadel trim does come standard with the 3.6-liter engine, you can choose to instead opt for the 5.7-liter HEMI V8. That HEMI engine can produce up to 390 pound-feet of torque and 360 horsepower. It also has a best-in-class tow rating of around 7,400 pounds. Standard features with the Citadel include rain-sensing windshield wipers, a premium nine-speaker audio system with subwoofer, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, Uconnect 4V NAV with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, HID headlamps with automatic high-beam headlamps, and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels.

R/T:
Instead of just coming as an optional engine, the R/T comes standard with the HEMI 5.7-liter, which comes with the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. Fuel Saver Technology is a large part of what makes this engine so successful, especially as it has cylinder deactivation that seamlessly is able to alternate between V-8 mode and high-fuel-economy four-cylinder mode. Standard features included with the R/T include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, high-intensity discharge headlamps with automatic high-beam headlamps, performance front fascia with LED fog lamps, and performance steering and suspension.

SRT:
The highest model available with the Durango is the SRT. This model comes standard with a HEMI V8 engine that can produce up to 470 pound-feet of torque and 475 horsepower. You can even go from 0 to 60 mpg in just 4.4 seconds! Not only does this engine give you amazing acceleration and speed, but the towing capabilities are bumped up to 8,700 pounds! Standard features that come with the SRT model include heated and ventilated front and second-row captain’s chairs with embossed SRT logos, SRT flat-bottom performance steering wheel, paddle shifters, hand-wrapped dashboard with live silver accent stitch, a performance-tuned AWD system, an Active Damping System, and Brembo high-performance six-piston and four-piston calipers.
