Finding a three-row crossover SUV that checks all of the boxes sounds like it could be a challenge, especially with the many amazing options to choose from. That’s why we are here to help! We have searched through the crossover SUV segment and found the top two choices that we think offer the best of the best. These two options are the 2018 Dodge Journey and the 2018 Toyota Highlander. Both give you a wide variety of choices, especially when it comes to entertainment. The 2018 Journey has made three-rows of seating standard on every model, which previously was only an option. That means that the Journey is ready to fight with the rest of its three-row crossover SUV competition. The 2018 Highlander has made no changes this model year, leaving it feeling slightly stagnant, with the lack of anything new or special to provide an extra draw. To learn more about these two SUVs, and to find out which one of them is the victor, continue reading!

That engine is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that can crank out 166 pound-feet of torque and 173 horsepower. You’ll also be getting front-wheel drive as standard, which will give you a fuel economy of around 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. The drivetrain is a four-speed automatic transmission. The second engine, which comes with the GT and AWD trims, is the 3.6-liter V6. This engine puts out 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Paired with this engine are either front-wheel or four-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. You can tow up to 1,000 pounds with the 4-cylinder option, or 2,500 pounds with the V6 engine.

It comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that powers the front wheels. The second option, which comes with the rest of the trims, is a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 163 lb-ft of torque and 295 horsepower. You’ll find this engine offered in front-wheel or all-wheel drive, along with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
