The 2017 Jeep Wrangler gets brand new LED headlights and fog lamps. This new feature is optional on the Sport and Sport S, but standard on the Sahara and the Rubicon trim levels. There is a Cold Weather Package that includes 17-inch BF Goodrich KO2 tires, engine block heater, all-weather slush mats, Power Convenience Group, heated seats, and remote start. The Jeep Wrangler is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that gives 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with FWD with high and low range gearing. There are options of a six-speed manual or a five-speed manual transmission. There are several axle gear ratios the optimize fuel economy. It is available with 3.21, 3.73 or 4.10 ratios depending on the model. The towing capability is up to 3,500 pounds. It has an approach angle of 42.2 degrees, a breakover angle of 25.8 degrees, and a departure angle of 32.3 degrees.  The Sport and Sahara have a Dana 30 front axle and Dana 44 rear axle with the Command-Trac NV241, part-time, two-speed transfer case that features a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio. There is an option to add a Trac-Lock limited-slip rear differential. The Rubicon has a Dana 44 front and rear axle with the Rock-Trac NV241 two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio. It also includes an electric front and rear locking differentials, a disconnecting front sway bar, and 32-inch tires.

There are four options of trim levels for the 2017 Jeep Wrangler: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon. The base level Sport includes features like a full-size spare tire, skid plates, tow hooks, foglights, removable doors, a fold-down windshield, manual mirrors and locks, full metal doors with crank windows, a one-piece folding, and an eight-speaker sound system with a CD player and an auxiliary audio jack. The Sahara has added things like additional painted exterior body panels and trim, hood insulation for reduced noise, air-conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and satellite radio. The Rubicon has many heavy-duty off-roading features. There are special edition packages available for the Wrangler. A few are The Willy’s Wheeler that is based on the Sport and the 75th Anniversary Wrangler that is based on the Sahara. There is an option on all the trim levels is a nine-speaker Alpine sound system and the Connectivity Group. The Connectivity group adds on a tire-pressure monitor display, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth phone connectivity, a trip computer, and the Uconnect 430 touchscreen. Some other tech features are a USB port, media player interface, 28 gigabytes of digital music storage and navigation.
